In the work Ground Station, I try to sing to the star nation, Aliens, God and all the strange unknown worlds of the universe.

I have built a parabola in the soil of Møn that sends sound up in the endless sky. I will sing inside the parabola directing my voice into the middle of the earth, I sing to the earth to reach the sky. For my performance I have installed a balloon holding a mic which sends sound to a mixer next to the Ground station parabola. There will be 5 headphones at the place so you can hear what it sounds live from above.

For the past few years, I have been working on a long-term study seeking a form of common language between humans, plants and animals. Through song and sound, I try to achieve contact with selected animals and plants. In this work I have put my attention to the universe and all the strange life that we have no knowledge of. We live in a time of fear of the strange. Through this work I will try to welcome the strange into a dialog, to sing about us humans, to give an emotional picture of us and maybe help us to open up towards it.

Parallel to the performance and work at På den Anden Side you will also be able to see an exhibition with the Title Strange Worlds / Framed Verdener at Hårbøllehuset that shows painting, drawing and research for the work Jordstation / Ground Station.
