ANABOLISM
Balz Isler (CH/DE) - http://metafeed#for#groundcontrol
15.00-16.00 - Performance - Fanefjord Skovhave,
Balz Isler examines relationships between the previously biological metabolism and the transformation taking place in times of digital anamorphosis. Until now, basic human needs were dependent on earthly space and time conditions. People produced, ate and recycled in processes that allowed his own scope for action. Balz Isler is now concerned with the extent to which our biological apparatus recently needs technological metabolisms that exceed conventional people and their traditional imagination.
Image'ination became an absolutely driving force that our technological metabolism seems to have to feed and maintain in order to obtain basic food in reciprocal relationships, virtually. How does such behavior relate to conventional self-sufficiency? And how “self” is it when this elixir is almost 100% dependent on external mechanisms? For this year's Møn Biennale, Balz Isler is planning a performative action that will be borne by these questions and will be translated and presented using multimedia and classic objects
